Sunday Snippet: The Merry Christmas Edition

Mes Amis, it’s Christmas Eve. I’m all ready for the holiday except for Husband making his famous cranberry Christmas cake for tomorrow’s celebration at Son and DIL’s house. Tonight Sister PJ and BIL will be here with us for our traditional chicken-and-noodles Christmas Eve supper. We’ll go to candlelight service after supper and then come back here for presents and dessert.

It’s been a pretty low-key holiday season so far, and you know, I’m fine with that. 2023 is almost over and I’m fine with that, too. It’s been a busy year; 2024 is probably going to be busy as well. I don’t do resolutions anymore. I don’t like that whoosh of cold air that I feel when they go flying by in November. We can talk about that next week…

But for today, I’m wishing you and yours a very merry Christmas. Whether you are surrounded by people or simply relishing a few quiet moments alone, I hope you have a peaceful holiday, full of  good cheer and great food and wine. If you’re looking for something to read this coming week, why not pick up a holiday romance? I’ve got a few…

Gratitude for this week: Delicious and lovely lunch with my Lovelies; a good work day with Liz, although just seeing her was great; I wrote some words; MIL is doing better; our house feels like Christmas; great baking day with Son!

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas.

And as always, mes amis, remember to hold your face to the sun, be grateful for all things, and love well.
