Nan Reinhardt

Hi, I’m Nan and I’m a USA Today bestselling author of sweet and sensual romance novels featuring women in their prime. I’m also a wife, a mom, a mother-in-law, and grandmother to an active little boy and two sweet dogs. I’ve been an antiques dealer, a bank teller, a stay-at-home mom, a secretary, and for the last 25 years, I’ve earned my living as a freelance copy editor and proofreader.

But writing is my first and most enduring passion. I can’t remember a time in my life when I wasn’t writing—I wrote my first romance novel at the age of ten. It involved a love story between the most sophisticated person I knew at the time, my older sister (who was in high school!), and a member of Herman’s Hermits. If you know who they are, you’re my audience! I’m still writing romance, but this time from the viewpoint of a wiser, slightly rumpled, woman in her prime instead of a starry-eyed preteen. I live in the Midwest with my husband of 53 years, where we divide our time between a house in the city and a cottage on a lake.

I’ve completed 22 novels; Rule Number One is published and available at Amazon.com and Barnes&Noble.com. Four others are part of the Women of Willow Bay series, Once More From the Top, Sex and the Widow MilesThe Summer of Second Chances, and Saving Sarah  are also available in e-book and print at all book retailers.

My first River’s Edge series, The Four Irish Brothers Winery, from Tule Publishing, includes A Small Town Christmas, Meant to BeChristmas with You, and The Baby Contract, which are all currently available in e-book and print from all book retailers. The Lange Brothers series–The Valentine Wager, Falling for the Doctor, and The Fireman’s Christmas Wishall released in 2022 and are available in print and e-book from all book retailers. The third River’s Edge series, The Weaver Sisters trilogy. Book 1, Home to River’s Edge released April 2023; Meet Me in River’s Edge released August 17, 2023; and Christmas in River’s Edge released October 23, 2023–all in print or e-book. The Walkers of River’s Edge series is releasing in 2024 and 2025, with Make You Mine and Make It Real available now, Made for Mistletoe released October 24, 2024 and Made to Love You released in January 2025.

My newest series with Tule Publishing is th Juniper Falls Ranch series–a step away from River’s Edge and into Mareitta, Montana with cowboys and ranchers and spunky heroines. Forever Cowboy and The Cowboy’s Comeback are currently available, and Help Wanted, Cowboy releases July 7, 2026 and is now available for pre-order.

    Hi Nan,

Beth thought she was booking a quiet weekend at a Montana spa, only to find herself at a working dude ranch during rodeo weekend. That detail made me curious about how an accidental change of plans could turn into something much more consequential for someone already trying to rebuild her life.

I publish an email newsletter that introduces readers to thoughtfully selected books they may not have discovered otherwise. Each edition gives one carefully selected title a closer introduction to readers who may be looking for their next book.

I thought Forever Cowboy could be an interesting fit for readers drawn to romance built around unexpected turns, fresh starts, and second chances.

Would you be interested in hearing what I have in mind?

    Best regards,
    Charlotte Mecklenburg

    Hi Nan –

My wife met you last night and brought home a couple of your books – she seems to be loving them. I too am an author, and wanted to introduce myself. My wesite and email are enclosed, and I have a Space Western series call Cold Cosmos that I’m promoting. I’d love to talk to you further!

I will do that when I start putting together my newsletter, Vicki. Meanwhile stay tuned here on the blog for updates and thanks for coming by!

I’m thinking no–Vinnie was a villain and too secondary a character to get an HEA. He’d have to move to River’s Edge and that’s unlikely. All that said, there’s always a chance because you know, River’s Edge is a magical place… 😉

I just finished A Small Town Christmas, and fell in love with the characters! I truly hope this will be made into a Hallmark movie. It certainly has all the makings of a great movie!
