Sunday Snippet: The Gearing-Up Edition

Book Release Day! It’s getting close and yet, there is a sense of unreality about my upcoming book release. It’s been over a year since my last release and I’d forgotten how much work there is. So many people to contact, promotional materials to send out, getting ready for book signings, which means boxing up enough print titles for each signing. (I still have to do that.) Writing blogs, getting prize packages ready for giveaways, ordering swag, and contacting other bloggers to see if they’ll give me a moment or two. My publisher, Tule Publishing, does way more than most to help their authors promote and I’m so very grateful for that, but they still depend on us authors to pull our weight.

Here’s a list of places I’ll be (just in case you want to follow along–you do, right?):

January 28: Snow Day event at Worth the Wait FB reader group (giveaway)

February 1: Takeover at Coffee and Cupcakes FB reader group (giveaway)

February 1: Drop-in at Tule Book Club 7-7:30 pm EST (tons of fun and a couple of giveaways)

February 2: Guest on Liz Flaherty’s Window Over the Sink Writer Wednesday

February 2: Guest on The Reading Café

February 5: Wine and Romance: In-person book signing at Whyte Horse Winery in Monticello, IN 2-4 p.m. EST

February 8: Word Wranglers usual post, but it will be book promotion

February 10: Write on the River Valentine’s Day Spotlight 8 p.m. EST

February 12: In-person book signing at Gal’s Guide Library, Nickel Plate Arts, Noblesville, IN 2-4 p.m. EST

February 13: Reading from The Valentine Wager on the Revenge Garden Podcast 1-2 p.m. EST

February 14-18: Prism Book Blitz tour—various book blogs, which I’ll post to FB/Twitter each day

February 15: Liz and I teach the Writing Contemporary Romance workshop at the Indiana Writers Center 6:30-8:30 on Zoom (not promo, but it is happening)

Plus, editing gigs to do… So, yeah…busy. But book promotion means meeting new people both virtually and in person and introducing readers to my stories, so it’s crazy, but it’s all good.

I’m taking a deep breath this coming week and depending on all the good energy Liz and I created on our retreat last week to get me through. Hold a good thought and if you think to stop by any of the above mentioned events, I sure would love to see you!

Stay well, stay safe, wear your masks, be kind, and most of all, mes amies, stay grateful!
