So many wonderful things are happening right now, not the least of which is the incredibly warm reception my newest novel, A SMALL TOWN CHRISTMAS, has received. I’m so grateful to all my faithful readers and excited to welcome all the new readers who’ve come on board with this new series. 2019 will bring two more Four Irish Brothers Winery stories, so stay tuned. Melissa McClone Has a New Christmas Romance and a Giveaway!
I’m so happy to welcome author pal, Melissa McClone today! With a degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford University, Melissa McClone worked for a major airline where she traveled the globe and met her husband. But analyzing jet engine performance couldn’t compete with her love of writing happily-ever-afters. She’s now a USA Today Bestselling author and has also been nominated for Romance Writers of America’s RITA® award. Melissa lives in the Pacific Northwest with her husband, three children, two spoiled Norwegian Elkhounds and cats who think they rule the house. They do! Christmas romances are my very favorite romance novels. What’s yours? Tell me your favorite kind of romance to…

Several of her titles were nominated for “Best Superromance,” including UNTIL HE MET RACHEL, which took home that honor in 2010. Playing with Promo
I’m learning to make promo pieces and man, am I having fun! I’m doing it with Canva, an online program that lets me create graphics for free. I’ve been experimenting since right before A SMALL TOWN CHRISTMAS released and used some of my handiwork to promote the book. Here’s my favorite one. The top is a graphic that the amazing Lee Hyat did for me, but I added the bottom part. When I get a little better at this, I’ll go find some more great winery photos, either in my own collection or I’ll buy some and see what I can do. Here’s one I created to show what great…

PRISM Book Tour for A Small Town Christmas
Thank you very much for coming along on my Prism Book Tour for A Small Town Christmas—the first book in my new Four Irish Brothers Winery series for Tule Publishing. I’m so excited about this book and about this series—Conor, Sean, Brendan, and Aidan Flaherty have been in my head for quite some time, banging around, insisting that their stories be told. A Small Town Christmas is Conor’s story. He’s the winemaker at Four Irish Brothers, the Flaherty’s historic family winery in the little town of River’s Edge; he’s also a widower and the father of four-year-old Ali, who steals every scene she’s in. Sam Hayes, the attorney who comes down from…

An Old Dog…
Okay, so not an old dog, more like an old lady can learn new tricks. Working with Tule Publishing has taught me so much about writing, but also about how important book promotion is. Here’s the thing, I’m not good at self-promotion. As a matter of fact, I suck at it. I don’t like drawing attention to myself, although isn’t that what writing is really? Except in my books, it’s not me that’s getting attention–it’s the people in my head. But after their story is told, somebody’s got to let the world know it’s there, and that’s the promotion part that I’m simply dreadful at. (I know, my freshman comp…

Holiday Romance with Liz Flaherty
Know what’s great? Having a BFF who is also a romance writer because it means I get first peek at all her books, plus I have someone to process stories with. Someone who really gets it when I’m stuck and thinking I’m the worst writer ever. It’s good to be that person for her, too! Today, I’m celebrating the release of that person’s newest novel. Liz Flaherty’s The Dark Horse: A Christmas Carousel Story is part of the 12 Days of Heartwarming Christmas series of holiday novels and it is a wonderful, touching story. Liz graciously agreed to share an excerpt: This isn’t a scene between the hero, Row, and the…
