Author Spotlight: It’s Me with Some Fun Stuff for You
Congratulations, Debra and Linda, you two are my winners of a $5 Amazon gift card and a free e-book ARC of Made to Love You. I’ll get those right out to you!
Yup, today I’m in my own Spotlight, which happens now and again. I hope you forgive my shameless self-promotion, but I confess this blog sometimes does that.
It is snowy here in the Midwest, which is okay by me. The world is white and quiet and the snow sparkles in the sunlight. The brisk cold sorta takes your breath away, but it’s wondrous to watch from inside my warm cozy house. Here’s a little something to warm your heart on this cold January day. Just for fun, I’m giving away an e-book ARCs of Made to Love You and a $5 Amazon gift card to two lucky commenters. Just tell me in the comments what the weather is doing in your part of the world.

On to my news! I’m celebrating first books in three of my series with N.N. Light’s Book Heaven, so zip over here and check out all the firsts and grab a chance to win a $25 Amazon gift card. It’s fun and includes three of my series firsts: Make You Mine–book 1 in the Walkers of River’s Edge series; Home to River’s Edge–book 1 in the Weaver Sisters series; and The Valentine Wager–book 1 in the Lange Brothers series. Who can forget hot, hot cop, Ryker Lange and his Irish lass, Kit Boynton? Right?

Also, big news is that reviews are coming in for Made to Love You, book 4 in the Walkers of River’s Edge series. I loved writing Annabelle Walker’s story because I was able to dig a little deeper into her personality, discover some frailty that we didn’t see in her character in the other Walker stories. And, much to the delight of my pet-loving readers, I managed to work in a stray pup who plays Cupid for Anna and the new vet in town, Sawyer Braxton. You can preorder Made to Love You and it will appear on your e-readers on January 23!
I’m delighted that reviewers are falling in love with Anna, Sawyer, and Trixie! Here’s few samples of what folks have to say:
“This book flowed easily and made me fall in love with the characters, Hallmark movie style.”
“I really enjoyed this book. Great plotline that kept me engaged and wanting to know how things were going to work out.”
“The writing is wonderful and engaging. I highly recommend this series as well as others the Nan has written with River’s Edge as the setting.”
“A charming and delightful tale. A sweet romance with an adorable dog at the center of the story.”
“Every word that Nan Reinhardt writes is a gift to her readers.”
She’s not looking for love, but a handsome veterinarian and a lost puppy have other plans…
Gorgeous and gifted, Annabelle Walker is a force of nature. A talented architect who has brought new designs and concepts to her family’s construction firm, Anna’s happy and doesn’t feel anything’s missing from her life, even as her siblings have all fallen in love this year. And then she finds an injured puppy on a bike ride.
Veterinarian Sawyer Braxton is lost while driving to his first day at Price Veterinary Clinic. He stops to ask directions of a bicyclist on the side of the road, and discovers three things: She’s beautiful, stranded with a flat tire, and holding an injured puppy. Sawyer’s fascinated, and it feels like fate as he offers the intriguing and vibrant woman a ride to the vet clinic.
It’s a meet-cute, and Annabelle’s definitely attracted, but she’s determined that this time, she really will take a break from men. Sawyer’s as stubborn as he is sexy, and he hits on a plan for a date—they’ll both foster the pup while it heals.

Big doings this weekend–Liz and I are headed to our winter writing retreat–a very good thing because I need to focus on my current WIP, which is a bit of a step outside my box. I always love our retreats and this is in our favorite little inn down in the hills of Brown County, Indiana. I’ll keep y’all posted on how it’s going, okay?
Stay well, stay warm, send lots of good energy to the firefighters in SoCal–so many folks lives are devastated by those wildfires. Huge kudos to Gov. Newsome, who’s working ’round the clock to help his citizens, to President Biden, who offered aid from FEMA and the government, and all the rescue workers, firefighters, and volunteers who are on the ground ready to help. This how a nation works together to help each other.

Congrats on your fun promo activities and amazing reviews! Our weather in the Philly area is similar to yours in Indiana. Our new apartment looks out over the Schulykill River Trail, so the light snow has been beautiful out back!
Nan
Oh, how wonderful to have a gorgeous view! Can you walk the trail in good weather?

Hi Nan,
I live in Northeast CT, the Quiet Corner. It is in the teens here and very windy. It’s that time of year when even my pups don’t want to stay out. They run out, do what they have to do and run back in the house in 30 seconds…
Nan
Sounds like my granddogs–they run around through the snow, do their thing, and zip back inside. It’s cold and windy here, too.

I live in NW Florida, where we are experiencing low temperatures for Florida. Last night the temperature went down to 28 degrees.
Nan
Wow! That’s cold for FL. Climate change is affecting everywhere in weird ways…

Well are having some warmer days, but super low humidity, and under high fire danger, but so far our area is doing ok. praying for LA. enjoy your retreat. I remember going to Brown County many times.
Nan
We’ll toast you and your BC memories, Kimberly! Stay safe out there–those fires are horrifying. I hope the winds die down and give the firefighters a chance.

Hi Nan. It is currently clean with the temperature being 19 degrees. We had beautiful sunshine today. It was a wonderful break from the clouds. Thank you so much for the opportunity. Enjoy your writing retreat. God bless you.
Nan
Thanks for stopping by, Deb. It is clear here, too, but we’re supposed to get a little more snow today. I’m snow-filled. Don’t need anymore. 😉

Happy writing, Nan. In my part of North Carolina, it’s just cold. Out of the 100 counties here, I live in 1 of the 2 that is not under a winter warning/watch/advisory.
Nan
How strange that only two counties aren’t under the winter watch. This year, we’ve had more snow than north of us, which is odd. I don’t mind the snow as long as we can get around. Stay warm!
Janine
It just started snowing here. It’s not that common in my part of Texas.
Nan
Enjoy the snow since it’s an anomoly for your area. Hugs!

It is very cold and windy in Virginia. We got a little bit of snow on Sunday night and Monday with some more expected tomorrow night.
Nan
Does it snow much in VA?
