Gratitude,  Writer's moments

Sunday Snippet: The Taking a Break Edition

I’m taking a break from posting this week. I’ve been all over the Web with book promotion since Made to Love You released on January 23 (still at it as you can clearly see–sigh). Then there’s been the first two weeks of the new regime (I refuse to call it an administration). I’ve had a giant knot in my stomach since the inauguration and I’m a little scared that if I start writing about where my head and heart are right now, I’ll rant and won’t be able to stop. If you follow me on any social media, you already know where I’m at, so no need to fill this space.

I need to breathe and finish writing Del and Beth’s story. So that is my February plan. Do my job, write, stay alert to what’s happening in the world and call out what I feel needs to be called out–but not here. I’ll be back next week and maybe I’ll drop a snippet from the work-in-progress mid week. That might be fun.

In the meantime, I ask that you pay attention, look for the helpers, be one yourself. Speak out when you need to. Choose kindness always–it’s important that we all stick together and resist.

Gratitude for today: The sun shone through the crystals hanging on my kitchen window and made a rainbow prism behind the basket of lavender hanging on the wall across the room. The snow is mostly all melted–it was time. I’ve got 106 consecutive days of meditation with Insight Timer–it’s been good and it’s how I start my day. Last night, Venus glowed bright in the sky right next to the moon. Lovely! (pic courtesy of pal Minnie). We’re moving right along on our bird puzzle.

Stay well, stay safe, stay vigilant, and most of all mes amis, stay grateful,

Enjoy your “break” of sorts. (We all need to figure out what can be done to keep things in the country from getting any more out of control.) But not here.
Love the moon and venus picture. Take good care of yourself and relax.
