Susan will be in touch with both of you. Thanks to everyone for stopping by and participating–we love talking with our readers!
I’m delighed to welcome fellow Tule Publishing author, Susan Lute, to her first appearance in the Author Spotlight. She’s also kicking off the Holiday Season for us with her wonderful Christmas romance, The Christmas Makeover, and a fun giveaway!
Susan loves to write bold, brave, heartwarming stories. Like all children of military families, she spent much of her childhood moving from one duty station to the next, giving her the nomad bug. Along the way, she acquired a love of ancient history and myth and admits to collecting way too much useless information. She is an award-winning author of contemporary romance, women’s fiction, and romantic fantasy. She writes whenever she can. Contemporary romance, dragons, and a good cup of coffee make her day.
When not writing, her favorite things are spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, watching movies, gardening, taking pictures of nature and architectural marvels, and remodeling the house that after thirty years, is finally starting to feel like home.

First, I want to say thanks to Nan for hosting me. This is my first visit, and I’m so excited to spend time with you all.
I love Christmas. There’s something so magical about this holiday. In my house, we start with Thanksgiving. I have a small family—my husband, our three grown children, and two granddaughters, 17 and 13. Most years we celebrate being together with turkey, ham, and all the trimmings. Sometimes, we have a cook-off. But the real star of the holidays is Christmas. Usually a week after Thanksgiving, the tree and house decorations go up. The Hogwarts train is placed under the tree. And then we wrap the presents.
Needless to say, writing The Christmas Makeover, Book 3 in An Angel Point Makeover had a magic of its own. I’ve always wanted to write a reverse makeover story where it’s the hero, in this case, Grant, who decides to get a makeover. Who better to turn to for help than his best friend, Faith, who’s bah humbug about the holiday season?
Does Grant have his Christmas wish all wrong? My secret wish? Well, let’s just say, I love holiday movies.
GIVEAWAY for 2 Lucky Commenters: To enter to win an e-copy of The Christmas Makeover, tell me what your favorite Christmas activity is. And to enter to win an e-copy of my newest release, The Prodigal Brother Returns, Book 1 of A Strawberry Ridge Romance, series tell me if you like small towns or city living best. Winners will be drawn on November 30. Please check back to see if you’ve won! Thanks for spending Thanksgiving week with me.
The Christmas Makeover
He’s ready for the lights …
Baker Grant Reed loves discovering new Christmas recipes, making people smile, and Angel Point—not necessarily in that order. But when his editor turns down his proposal for a Christmas cookbook, he must show her how serious he is about becoming the premier pastry chef in the country. He turns to his best friend, Faith—if anyone can give him a complete makeover that will turn heads, she can.
She knows how to make things sparkle …
In her past, Faith Hathaway was a costume designer for some of Broadway’s most prestigious plays. Now, after moving to Angel Point to help her grandfather, she owns and operates a vintage boutique and helps out at the local theater. When Grant asks for a makeover, she’s torn—she loves him the way he is, mismatched socks and all.
In exchange, he promises to show Faith, who has never enjoyed the holiday season, the magic of an Angel Point Christmas. But as the two grow closer, Grant can’t help but wonder … has he got his Christmas wish all wrong?

I’ve lived in cities (LA) and small towns. When I’m traveling I almost always think… I could live here! But it turns out small towns are my favorite. We’ve lived in our little town for thirty years 😉

I love holiday movies and spending extra time with family. I recently moved to a town buzzing with activities: not quite city, not quite small town. For me, it’s all about opportunities to do stuff. Congratulations on the book. It sounds fun!

Hi, Roseann. Your town sounds like fun. The Christmas Makeover is set in Angel Point, a small coastal town where Christmas is celebrated with gusto 😉
