Author Spotlight: Nicole Flockton Is Here with Book 2 In Our Montana’s Rodeo Cowboys Series
Hey, mes amis! We are celebrating all things Marietta, Montana, this month with the release of four brand-new Cowboy Romances that happen around the 87th Copper Mountain Rodeo. This week’s release is Book #2 in Tule’s new Montana’s Rodeo Cowboys series–Headstrong Cowboy by the amazing Nicole Flockton!
USA Today Bestselling author Nicole Flockton writes contemporary romances that sparkle and seduce you one kiss at a time. Nicole likes nothing better than taking characters and creating unique situations where they fight for their true love.
On her first school report her teacher noted “Nicole likes to tell her own stories”. It wasn’t until after the birth of her first child and after having fun on a romance community forum that she finally decided to take the plunge and write a book. She is a hybrid author and has been published since 2012.
When she’s not busy writing she’s looking after her very own hero – her wonderfully supportive husband, as well as her two fabulous kids and various fur babies. Her kindle is never far from her reach. She’s a flower crown wearing certified chocoholic, Cinderella lover, major BTS fan, sports lover and a glitter aficionado.

I’m so thrilled to welcome Nicole to the Spotlight…
Thanks Nan, for having me here today. This isn’t my first visit to Nan’s corner of the internet, and I always enjoy popping in to say hello.
Today I thought I’d tell you a little about my contribution to the Montana’s Rodeo Cowboys series — Headstrong Cowboy.
While it’s the second book in the Rodeo series, it’s the first book in my Bloom Sisters of Montana series. It’s also my first foray into Tule’s legacy town of Marietta. I’ve read so many books set there that I was so excited to be able to contribute to the lore of Tule’s fabulous Marietta.
I wanted to do a little something different with this series as well, so I decided the heroine grew up on a flower farm.
To add in a little fun with the family business, all the sisters are named after flowers. Our heroine in Headstrong Cowboy is named Chrysanthemum and her sisters are Sunflower and Tulip. Chrissy has found out the flower farm is on the brink of bankruptcy. Chrissy plans to do everything she can to stop her Mom from selling it and keep it in the family. One of her ideas is to enter the Barrel Racing event at that upcoming Copper Mountain Rodeo. She was a champion in this event when she was younger and even though it’s been quite a few years since she last competed, she plans to do whatever it takes to win and save the family farm.
My hero, Ryder Chamberlain, is at a crossroads because he was forced into retiring from riding bulls far earlier than he wanted to due to injury. Everything also gets turned upside down when he reads a letter from his long deceased mother which sets him on a journey to Marietta and headlong into Chrissy’s crosshairs. The fact he arrives at rodeo time and can’t compete, doesn’t help either.
This story is about secrets and finding out that sometimes the best thing to do is not to honor those secrets but following your heart.
I hope that you will enjoy reading Chrissy and Ryder’s story, along with all the others in the series.

Headstrong Cowboy
When Chrysanthemum Bloom returns home to the family flower farm after her father’s death, she finds it on the brink of bankruptcy. Her mother is determined to sell it, but Chrissy believes she can turn the business around if given the chance. She enters the Copper Mountain Rodeo’s barrel racing competition in the hope of winning some prize money, never mind that she hasn’t competed in years.
Ryder Chamberlain’s bull riding career ended suddenly when he lost an argument with the bull he was riding. Following his late mother’s wishes, he arrives in Marietta, determined to reclaim what had been taken. The Bloom Flower farm sits on land once owned by his kin and is Ryder’s for the buying, until he meets Chrissy and discovers it’s not going to be an easy purchase after all.
Both Chrissy and Ryder are determined to win the fight for the farm, but the unexpected attraction that flares between them has them both wondering if, instead of fighting, becoming a team is the best outcome for all.

I’ve never been to a rodeo, just what i’ve seen on TV. All of the event look like a lot of fun barrel racing, bronc riding, bull riding, trick riding, I can’t pick one!

I would love to meet a real cowboy and attend a rodeo. Looks like a great read.

I have never been to a rodeo. I have only seen one on TV. I like the cover of the book.
