Thanks so much, Nan, for inviting me to your blog. I’m so happy to get a chance to talk about my latest book from Tule Publishing, THE CHRISTMAS FIX UP. It’s the second book in my new series, The Guardian Angel Chronicles and if you’re one of my long-time readers, you’ll already know that this series is a little bit of a departure for me.
If you don’t know me, I’ve written both historical and contemporary romance, some romantic suspense, and I’ve even had a book turned into a movie from Hallmark (HOLIDAY HEARTS.) And lots of my books do have touches of magic in them, because, let’s face it, there is something truly magical about finding love. But The Guardian Angel Chronicles is my first truly paranormal/fantasy series, where guardian angels play some of the leading roles.
In The Christmas Fix Up we meet Elspeth Aloysius, an angel who has cloistered herself in the Eternal File Room doing Celestial clerical work for way too long to avoid confronting old wounds. When her mentor decides she’s had enough of Elle avoiding her destiny, she assigns her to be the guardian angel to Molly Wynter, a child who’s lost her mother and whose broken-hearted father seems lost as well. Sam Wynter has buried himself in his work and Elle finds herself judging his parenting skills while getting more and more attached to Molly.
You see, heaven made a mistake taking Molly’s mom early and now, before Molly’s destiny becomes too out of whack, they want to fix it. Elle is sent down to Earth on a one-week ‘mingle’ with a mission to open Sam’s broken heart and find a new mother for Molly. Elle has one rule as she becomes almost human for a week: Don’t fall for Sam.
Alas, best laid plans and all that, because as Sam and Elle work together to help Sam’s elderly friend, Iris, fix up her house/B&B where Elle is staying, Sam’s numb heart begins to heal, and he begins to imagine a future with the captivating Elle. But Elle’s one week clock is ticking toward Christmas Eve when she will have to say goodbye to him forever. Can these two mismatched soulmates ever find their happily ever after?
I hope you enjoy this magical Christmas story. I had so much fun writing it. Do I believe in angels? Yes. I do. But that, my friends, is another story. This book was definitely inspired by the last two years of struggle and isolation, and rediscovering and appreciating the essential connections that we humans all crave. What makes this book fun is the crooked path this angel takes to find her true happily ever after.
Thanks again for having me, Nan, and I have a sweet GIVEAWAY of a $10 Amazon Gift Card and an ebook copy of The Christmas Fix Up to one lucky commenter. Just tell me if you believe in angels. I’ll choose a winner in two days, to give everyone a chance to enter. Happy Reading!

This story sounds wonderful, and I love your name choices! I was an adult before I realized Aloysious wasn’t pronounced Alloy-see-us. Wishing you best of luck with your release.
