Author of your next binge-worthy romance series, Stella has been plotting sexy, tear-jerker stories since she was old enough to hold a pencil. Born a Georgia peach, Stella loves all things country but calls the beach home even though she’s currently living outside D.C. with her family. Most days she can be found drinking too much coffee, collecting lipstick she forgets to wear, and baking. Stella’s first series, featuring first responders, debuted this year! What Makes a Hero?
Hi Everyone,
Stella Holt here, I write slow-burn Contemporary Romance for Tule.
I released my first series this year, Legacy of the Maguires, full of sweet, hot, Alpha heroes, and strong, beautiful, women. My books also feature an Irish family full of love, wisdom, shenanigans, and a lot of first responders.
I have to admit the old adage write what you know worked out well for me on this series. I come from a large, proud, Irish family, and while I enjoy a bad boy romance, as much as the next girl. There is something about a strong man, who isn’t afraid to share his emotions or treat his woman like a treasure, while wearing SWAT gear, or a uniform. Right?
I wanted to celebrate the kind of hero that wears his heart on his sleeve, because I think the Good Guys exist. But of course I had to add some twists, fake dating, one bed, bodyguard, rivals-to-lovers, SEALS, and second chance tropes in, to keep things interesting.
Each story can be read as a standalone but you’ll still get to follow the four siblings and the rest of the Maguire family in each book. Book four, Love and Order just released August 14 and the fifth book, Merry Little Heartbreak, will be out just in time for the holidays in November, with a he-said-she-said, second chance vibe.
I’m doing a giveaway of an e-book copy of book one in the Legacy of the Maguires series, Last First Kiss, to one of Nan’s lucky followers. Just let me know your favorite trope in the comments below. We’ll draw a winner on Friday morning.
Happy Reading!
Love and Order
She’s keeping secrets—and he has the answers she doesn’t know she needs.
Finn Maguire may be the baby of his close-knit family, but this former Navy SEAL has never shied away from a challenge. Now a lawyer with a plan to practice business law, he’s ready for a normal life. The coveted junior partner position is his next goal—but he’s pitted against the enigmatic woman he’s spent two years admiring from afar, and he can’t resist his desire to learn more.
Hailey Adams grew up in foster care, where she learned how to avoid danger. Her intense self-discipline and vow to never let anyone make her feel vulnerable again have landed her one case away from the security of partnership at a prestigious D.C. firm. But teaming with the charming Finn tests her well-honed ability to keep people at a distance.
Finn finally breaks through Hailey’s walls just in time for her to find out he kept the biggest secret of all. Will this be a case Finn loses, or can Hailey learn to trust the first person who’s made her feel safe?

Favorite tropes: I particularly like “amnesia… All the tropes can be contained within and gives the author room to play.

I guess they all have a little bit of the friends to lovers, but you’d probably enjoy the third book Strictly Off Limits the best ❤️
