We have a winner! Congratulations to Wanda Archuleta–you are Paris’s giveaway winner. She will be in touch! Thanks to everyone who stopped by!

What a treat to welcome Paris Wynters back to the Author Spotlight! Paris is a multi-racial author of steamy contemporary romances full of pulse-pounding passion. Her books follow the romantic journeys of feisty heroines as they find love with smoldering hockey stars, rugged military men, and alongside charming cowboys. She is the author of The Three Keys Ranch series, The Navy SEALs of Little Creek series, Love On The Winter Steppes, Called into Action, and her newest book, a hockey romance, Totally Pucked.

Paris resides in New York along with her family where she enjoys playing video games, watching hockey, and is a Search and Rescue K-9 handler.

Paris, you’re in the spotlight…

Thanks, Nan. I wrote Totally Pucked back in 2016 and had shelved it for years. I opened it up again last year and fell back in love with the characters. Nora Thoma is one of my most beloved heroines that I have written.

There is so much of me and other women I have met in Nora who is a domestic abuse survivor. This story is more than a romance, its about two people finding strength in themselves, and their strength allowing themselves to be vulnerable.

Nora Thoma is a single mom who divorced her ex-husband and moved to the East Coast to start her life over. But it’s not as easy, especially being a single mom. That work/home life balance is tough especially when her son plays hockey. I mean, a hockey stick is $200-$300 dollars after all (seriously, it really is).

Exploring the healing that goes on while trying to balance starting over, being a single mom, and finding time for yourself brought back a lot of memories. A girls night out, or just alone time, was a phantom event…maybe happening twice a year. If that.

There’s also the struggles to pay for rent or food, but hiding that struggle  from your child so they feel safe and that everything is okay.

And dating.

Oh, that was always fun. Especially when the kids catch a kiss. Or start to ask questions.

But I had to give Nora someone worthy of both her and her son. And Wyatt Clanton is my celebration of all those who have stepped into the step parent/guardian role. Who jumped in headfirst and claimed them as their own.

Writing this story wasn’t easy at times, but I’m proud of the way it turned out. I love every character in it, including some of the secondary characters who are amazing best friends.

I hope you read and enjoy Wyatt and Nora’s story.

GIVEAWAY! I’m doing a giveaway of an e-book copy of Totally Pucked to one of Nan’s lucky followers. Just let me know one guilty pleasure you have in the comments below. We’ll draw a winner on Sunday morning.

Totally Pucked

Hockey god Wyatt “The Hammer” Clanton has one goal—hold onto his spot in the NHL. After one too many reckless fights, his team captain suggests he rebuild his image. The solution? Coach a kids’ hockey team. He never expects Nora, the one-night stand who rocked his world, to show up with a kid of her own.

Struggling single mom Nora Thoma is finally putting the pieces of her life back together after ditching her ex. One scorching night of passion with a pro athlete was supposed to be a risky escape, right? Wrong. Because now the man who gave her a toe-curling taste of paradise is volunteering as an assistant coach for her son’s hockey team.

Wyatt’s fighting to keep his hockey career and Nora’s fighting to give her son the life he deserves. But behind closed doors, their red-hot chemistry is out of control. When a photo leaks and secrets come tumbling out, Nora’s left with two choices: run from her past…or trust Wyatt to fight for the family he never knew he needed. Wyatt’s ready to risk it all to protect the woman and boy who thawed his frozen heart. Because this time, he’s playing for keeps.

Game on!

I just got back from the Smokey Mountains by myself. I love making my own plans, not worrying about a schedule, and having my own adventures. I went on a Pink Jeep tour, not off-road, but still so fun.

Any particular food? I have an obsession that I do to celebrate book birthdays where I buy a box of lucky charms, pick out all the marshmallows and eat just those 😀
