Happy Valentine’s Day–Here’s a Treat for You
Patty, Judy, and Hidee–you are winners! You all will be receiving an ebook of The Valentine Wager! Thanks for stopping by! I love talking with my readers! Happy Valentine’s Day!
Yup, it’s Valentine’s Day. Husband and I low-key it with a nice dinner here at home and maybe a card if we remember… which often one or both of us don’t. After 50 years of marriage, I like to think every day is Valentine’s Day. You with me?
But since it’s a special day, here’s a little gift from me to you. Comment below with your favorite kind of Valentine gift–candy, flowers, dinner out, lingerie, jewelry… whatever. Just let me know what you love to receive (or give) most and you’ll be up for a chance at one of three e-book copies of The Valentine Wager, my 2022 River’s Edge Valentines story that has one of my very favorite meet-cutes.
Here’s the story:
He’s a notorious flirt, so she lays down a challenge she’s sure she’ll win.
When playboy police lieutenant Ryker Lange stops Kitt Boynton for driving on the wrong side of the road, his attraction to the feisty Irish lass is immediate. Yet, despite the sizzling chemistry between them, Kitt quickly turns him down.
Kitt has moved to River’s Edge for a fresh start and is ready to focus on her new marketing job at her cousins’ winery. She’s done with players, and vows she won’t let the local sexy cop distract her, but Kitt, a flirt herself, is definitely tempted. To keep her sanity as she prepares for several Valentine-themed winery events, she and Ryker make a bet: for the next three weeks, neither of them can flirt with the other.
The game starts out lighthearted, but when the town takes sides, Ryker and Kitt must choose between winning a wager or finding lasting love.
I’m giving away three e-books, so be sure to comment for a chance at one of them! I’ll draw winners on Friday morning!
Happy Hearts Day, everyone!

Happy Valentine’s Day. We have always kept it low key in my family with a simple card and maybe a candy or two.
Nan
Happy hearts, Kimberly!

Happy Valentine’s Day, Nan! We are pretty much homebodies, so our day is low-key. Hubby cooked steaks on the grill. But he did leave me a foam heart stuck to my steering wheel, so I found it when I went to town to take my mom for groceries. 🙂
Nan
Aw, love the foam heart! Cool!

Haven’t read this one yet for what reason I don’t remember. Would love a copy of this book. Hope you and hubby have a wonderful Valentines day. ❤️
Nan
Hey, Judy! How are you, sweets? Thanks for stopping by!

Same here: low-key, lots of years, cards if we remember, and chocolate for each other (also if we remember). I won’t be as sappy as to say, “Every day is Valentine’s Day,” but it comes close. No entry needed. I have this adorable story already!

After 57 years of being married to my wonderful husband, we really don’t celebrate these holidays anymore. We exchange cards, and have a quiet dinner at home and sometimes go out for lunch during the week. It’s knowing we are there for each other no matter what…that is the most important thing to each of us.
Nan
Roseann, sappy is good. I like sappy!

Sounds like the town has fun getting in on the romance!!
Nan
The town is in on everything–and I love that about River’s Edge!

Dinner out. We did that Saturday because of Mardi Gras amd Valentine’s Day. Thank you for the chance
Nan
Hi, Patty! Oh, that’s right Valentine’s Day was also Ash Wednesday… crazy.
Janine
Happy Valentine’s Day! Ours is always pretty low key too. I always think dinner out is a nice gift, but my husband works too late to go out during the week. I’m going to cook him a pasta meal tonight and just relax after that maybe watch a movie. .
Nan
That’ sounds perfect, Janine! Enjoy!

Like you, it’s been a lot of years and a lot of Valentine’s Days. As long as I’m with the guy in the other recliner, I’m good, although this year I think it’s going to be lunch. And we both forgot cards. 🙂 No entry!
Nan
Totally with you–it’s the being with them, not the celebration of the day. Hugs, bestie!
