SATWM.final_thumbnailI’m so excited! Both the covers from the first two Women of Willow Bay series books are entered in the Houston RWA’s Judge-a-Book-by-Its-Cover contest. The contest is judged by booksellers around the world and there is even a special part of the contest where readers get a chance to judge. My covers are so wondrous! I love them because they’re different and kinda retro and very me. The fabulous Lani Diane Rich of Storywonk did these covers for me and she captured perfectly the look and feel of my Baby Boomer romances.

I wanted some thing different from the usual fare—no naked chests, no heaving bosoms, no sweaty clinches, no passionate almost kisses captured seconds before the hero and heroine suck face. My books are about women over forty who are rediscovering love. They’re grown-up romances with a touch of humor, a dash of fun, a lot of heat, and even, coming up in the next book, a bit of mystery. The expected type of cover just didn’t feel right. Somehow, I managed to convey what I visualized to Lani and she created the perfect book covers.

OMFTT.final_mediumMy characters remember the Beatles, tie-dye t-shirts, and cassette tapes. They dance to Rod Stewart,  aren’t too cool to laugh, and still believe in magic. My heroines are mothers and grandmothers, but they’re they’re also vibrant women who still enjoy sex (oh, my!) and are looking for a second chance at love. My heroes are sensitive, intelligent men who remember what their dads taught them about being gentlemen and who aren’t looking for some young arm candy. They want mature, self-assured lovers who don’t play games, know what they want, and are ready to commit.

I hope you’ll go by https://jabbic.hbarwa.com/readers/ and vote for my covers. Look in the Contemporary Series list for Once More From the Top and Sex and the Widow Miles and if you like what you see, give them a great rating. Thanks so much!
